The set is particularly suitable for entry-level telescopes. These usually already include two or three eyepieces, but it almost always makes senses to expand your collection with two more:
- An eyepiece for the greatest possible viewing angle (also called field of view) is indispensable for finding objects. With a 2-inch eyepiece diameter, the Omegon 1.25'' 32mm super ploessl eyepiece is a high-quality yet reasonably-priced choice. Super Ploessl eyepieces are among the most affordable eyepieces and are, at the same time, real classics. Generations of amateur astronomers have used them to successfully observe stars. The ingenious design consists of just 5 lenses, but offers a sharp and bright image.
- An eyepiece for medium magnification reveals the Moon and many clusters in a particularly beautiful way. The Omegon Eyepiece Premium Flatfield 65° 15.5mm is ideal here, because it is light in weight while still offering top optical quality. It has a large field of view and a comfortable viewing position. Flatfield eyepieces have an integrated ED lens element for particularly good colour purity. Due to their optical design, these eyepieces offer extremely high contrast and sharpness performance, far in excess of what you would usually expect.
Whether an additional eyepiece also makes sense, or whether other accessories might be better, is heavily dependent on the telescope. That's why a voucher is included with this case. Accessories can be kept in this elegantly designed aluminium accessory case. Although the case looks very compact, it provides enough room for your eyepieces, filters and other accessories. This Omegon case has also been selected to provide sufficient room for further accessories. Even large 2 “eyepieces will fit in it due to its roomy12cm deep interior. Exactly where you locate each accessory is left completely up to you: The integrated 1cm x 1cm cube 'pluck foam' material allows eyepieces to be located fairly precisely.
