21AU618 CCD chip - the fast track to perfect planetary images
The 21AU618 CCD chip is one of the most sensitive on the planetary camera market. While previous imaging required long exposure times, this chip exposes your favourite objects in the twinkling of an eye so to speak. High sensitivity means short exposure times. In contrast to the ICX098BQ chip used in many cameras, the colour version of this CCD chip offers 50% more sensitivity in the blue, 100% more in the green, and 200% more in the red region.
120 images per second - only a brief moment needed to capture the finest detail.
The Omegon Capture camera lets you take up to 120 frames per second. The high sensitivity and extremely fast readout time means that you can now 'freeze' the seeing even better. Many other cameras can only readout at 30 frames per second, which is only a quarter that of the Omegon Capture camera. Exposures will benefit and have much more detail. Planetary images are no longer blurred but are now pin-sharp.
USB 3.0 port for fast image readout
Your images are quickly read out thanks to an advanced USB 3.0 port. The camera produces high quality images in an uncompressed format. The power of the camera can only be optimally utilized by using a rapid readout.

The Omegon camera makes it very easy for you to take exposures of the night sky. Everything that you need for your astrophotography has been included. The Omegon Capture image acquisition software included in delivery makes your camera particularly easy to control. All the functions - such as 'start recording', 'record video', 'set exposure time', 'define save to location', and more, are immediately evident., You will become familiar with all the functions needed for capturing your perfect image after only a very short period of familiarisation.
Software installation is child's play - simply download the driver and the software and you're ready to go.
Screw in a filter of your choice
Choose which filter you would like to use with your camera. A fixed filter has not been installed, giving you a completely free hand to decide if you want to use a UV / IR filter or maybe even an IR pass filter for example.
