Fight mirror shift
When adjusting the focus on your SC telescope, you have probably experienced the problem of stars in the field of view moving wildly around. For astrophotography, using a V-Power unit will avoid this problem. Attached to your telescope, it lets you can objects sharply without mirror shift. This is made possible by some sophisticated mechanics.
V-Power - with stainless steel ball bearings
The critical components of the Omegon V-Power focuser are all made of hard stainless steel. Stainless steel ball bearings run along stainless steel runners - meaning the focuser achieves significantly improved accuracy. The focuser even takes high loads over long periods in its stride. The ball bearing ensures no slippage and guarantees years of consistent quality.
1:10 reduction gearing - focusing objects precisely
At high magnifications or in astrophotography, it is difficult to find the precise point of focus. The 1:10 fine focusing makes this much easier. The 2" tube moves by tenths of a millimetre as you turn the handy stainless steel knob. A half turn of the fine focus knob means a focus distance change of about one millimetre.
