For photos with clearer dots. And fewer streaks.
Your astrophoto is beautiful and yet you think it could be even better? This polarscope allows you to point your MiniTrack mount exactly at the celestial pole, and not just near it. With focusable optics, lens coating and displayed constellations and polar circles. Make sure that astrophotos look good on any night.
The highlights at a glance:
More light, more details
The MiniTrack LX2 or LX2 NS in the standard version includes a polarscope tube. This makes wide-angle shots up to 20 or 30 seconds possible. A lens with a longer focal length reduces the exposure time or causes streaks. You will also need a longer exposure if you want more detail in the shot. Precise levelling is necessary. The polarscope is an ideal tool for this, giving you more light and details, but with fewer streaks.
Tip: The MiniTrack polarscope holder is required for mounting.
Cheaper, lighter and more compact
The polarscope has no date scale markings, so it is lighter and more compact. We've left out all the nonessential parts you don't need, making it more affordable.
Simple but accurate alignment with the Big Dipper
A great help for accurate alignment. The polarscope has a marking of the Big Dipper and Cassiopeia. Rotate the polarscope about its axis until the markings point in the same direction as the current position of the two constellations. This will help you find the true celestial pole in just a few simple steps. You no longer have to worry about complicated data scales and numbers. This method is so simple and intuitive that even beginners can get to grips with it straight away.
Also suitable for the southern sky
Besides the Big Dipper, you will also discover Oct Sigma and the Southern Cross on the graticule. This means that the mount is also suitable for the southern sky.
Focusable polarscope
A sharp view for every eye. The Omegon polarscope has its own diopter adjustment; a knob with which you can adjust the focus to your eye. The graphic marking and the Pole Star are therefore always in full view.
