Aspherical Cassegrain 260/1300 OTA - a professional for astrophotos
Large aperture, bright images, low weight: This telescope was specially developed for experienced astrophotographers and enables detailed images of deep sky objects with large sensors. Thanks to an aspherical primary mirror and a built-in corrector, the telescope offers excellent detail and sharpness right to the edge of the field of view.
The advantages at a glance:
- Large Sensors: Optimized for astrophotography with full-frame sensors and larger
- With an aperture of 260mm and an aperture ratio of f/5, the telescope offers excellent light gathering power
- Integrated corrector: The 3-element corrector ensures a fully illuminated image field of 70mm and automatically achieves the correct working distance in focus
- Back focus for accessories: The imaging train offers plenty of space for accessories. With the extension fully retracted, up to 102mm back focus is possible
- Lightweight: At just 14.5kg, the telescope is light enough to be carried on many medium-sized mounts
- Carbon tube with tube rings and Losmandy Level prism rail on the base as well as a flexible top plate on the top
- 3" focuser with 10:1 reduction and different threads for connecting accessories
Cassegrain telescope with aspherical design
The aspherical primary mirror made of PZ33 material ensures high image quality and reduces optical aberrations. What this means for you: excellent image correction right down to the edge. Thanks to the large aperture of 260mm, even fainter deep sky objects can be made visible.
The carbon tube offers you optimized weight and better performance during long exposure times compared to a metal tube. No matter how long you shoot, the focus remains stable. This allows you to concentrate on what's important - capturing impressive images.
Integrated corrector
The integrated 3-element corrector ensures a fully illuminated image field of 70mm and automatically achieves the correct working distance in focus (back focus). This makes astrophotography easier and more efficient. From now on you no longer need to worry about choosing the right extension sleeves. The optical system was designed to give you a fully illuminated field of view with sharp stars right to the edge with full-frame cameras.
3" focuser and plenty of back focus for accessories
There is plenty of space for accessories in the telescope's imaging train. When fully retracted, up to 102mm back focus is possible, giving you more flexibility when using cameras and other devices. To easily attach cameras and other accessories, the 3" focuser in R&P design is equipped with different threads: M68x1, M54x0.75, M48x0.75. Something you should also know: Since it is a special telescope for astrophotographers There is no connection for 1.25" and 2" eyepieces. Low weight - suitable for many mounts Weighing just 14.5kg, the telescope can be carried on many affordable mounts (such as an EQ-6 or an iOptron CEM40). It is therefore ideal for experienced astrophotographers who want to remain mobile. Ventilation for the main mirror Integrated fans ensure that the main mirror cools down more quickly. A digital temperature display permanently informs you about the current temperature. Another plus point for optimal imaging during astrophotography.
