Omegon deluxe guide scope rings - for guide scopes up to 120mm in diameter
The Omegon guide scope rings let you get started in the premier class of astrophotography - deep sky imaging. The guide scope rings are suitable for OTAs of up to 120mm outside diameter. A quick-release adapter system lets you mount your guide scope onto your telescope in virtually no time.
Plastic protector for your guide scope
Your guide scope's OTA is always well protected in these scope rings - the plastic coating stops your guide scope from getting scratched.
Ultra-fast mounting - quick- release adapter system
If there is a 3" rail on the main telescope OTA, then your complete guide tube system can be very quickly mounted directly onto it. You can then slide the system along the rail until you find the optimum balance position for it.
The quick-release adapter system makes you very flexible - it lets you quickly and easily remove the entire guide scope assembly, for example if you want to start observing visually.
The advantages in a nutshell:
- for guide scope OTAs 70 - 120mm outside diameter
- quick-release adapter system for mounting onto a 3" rail
- plastic-coated to protect your guide scope

These guide-scope rings are suitable for telescopes with a 70 to 120mm outside diameter. A guide-scope with a diameter of 65mm is only suitable if your guide star is almost parallel to the main telescope. This is because with a 65mm diameter only a small amount of thread remains left to centre an off-axis star. We therefore recommend using a guide-scope with a 70mm or larger outside diameter. For smaller models, the Basic guide scope ring 105mm is a good choice.
