The view of the night sky changes with latitude. If you drive south, for example, you will see additional constellations.

Star charts are therefore produced for a given latitude. However, they are still valid for a wide range around this latitude.

For example, star charts for the German-speaking region are usually created for the 50th parallel north. However, they are equally valid from the North Sea to South Tirol.
