This accessory makes observation with both eyes possible.
With a binocular viewer, you can experience viewing through a telescope or spotting scope with both eyes. They are mainly intended for brighter objects such as the Moon or the planets, but also objects such as the Andromeda Galaxy or the Orion Nebula can be observed successfully with them. The observing experience is very relaxed and seemingly plastic, giving you a 3D effect. Instead of binocular viewer, names such as a binocular head or binoviewer are also common.
