A fantastically nice little pair of binoculars for observing the night sky. The low magnification makes it feel almost like you're not looking through binoculars but rather as if you've gained super sight. I live in an area with a lot of light pollution, so unfortunately, not many stars are visible to the naked eye. However, through these binoculars, an incredible number of stars become visible.
It can be a bit tricky to get perfect focus since you have to adjust each eye separately. My tip is to use the included lens caps and cover one objective lens while adjusting the focus on the other, then do the same for the other eye. Simply closing one eye while adjusting the other hasn't worked perfectly for me. It works better if you do it relaxed, with both eyes open, and just cover one lens.
The vertical angle at which you hold the binoculars greatly affects the focus, so try tilting them slightly upward. That made a big difference for me. Also, the distance between the lenses is important to get just right for the entire field of view to be sharp.
I haven't yet tried taking the binoculars to something like the theater, but my impression is that they would work excellently in such situations.
However, since it's so incredibly important to get the focus just right for each eye, I can't recommend "sharing" the binoculars with friends, except perhaps for them to have a quick try. My wife and I don't have exactly the same vision, so there’s quite a bit of fiddling with the focus when we pass the binoculars back and forth. Instead, just buy two! :)
