The largest specimen area available (field number: 24mm)
The F.O.V. (field of view) based on a very comfortable 24 mm diameter.
This means that a particularly large section of the specimen can be examined, enabling natural and easy visibility, which is especially important in a laboratory environment.
Further specifications
A variety of observation methods
IM-5 means extreme flexibility.
Brightfield, phase contrast and darkfield techniques can all be used at any time to accentuate certain characteristics of your specimen.
Here you can see a vitamin C specimen below (from top to bottom): brightfield, darkfield, phase contrast.
Rotating Köhler condenser
The fully adjustable condenser can be rotated away from the light path, extending the working distance to allow the examination of large sample containers.
MS - a solution for the infertility of the living world
Microscopes are increasingly being used to observe molecular processes. This is best done in real time or by using time-lapse images of a single cell - known as live cell imaging.
These experiments required a high degree of dexterity and careful manipulation of the cells under the microscope, especially for PMA. A major factor in the success of this procedure is the performance of the microscope and the operator. The IM-5 offers a perfect option for combination with common micromanipulation systems. The user has the perfect tool for PMA, which ensures high optical performance and reliable micromanipulation within a perfect working environment.
STI - observing a microscopic living world
Live cell imaging requires a very special experimental setup in order to observe the movements of molecules or organelles within cells or membranes.
These movements are easily overlooked if they cannot be tracked within the same cell. This is why OPTIKA has created suitable modular systems for performing live cell imaging on any cell, tissue or whole organism culture. These are compatible with common incubation systems.
STI - incubation system
Stage top incubation: a modern control unit allows temperature, humidity and CO₂ levels to be adjusted to the requirements of living samples.
